Pamela Stein To Appear in "The Butler Did It" - opening April 13

Glendale resident Pamela Stein can be seen in the Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa's production of The Butler Did It, opening Friday April 13.
With the tone of Agatha Christie mysteries and the humor of the comedies like Young Frankenstein, this play, a mystery-farce by Tim Kelly, is full of twists and turns that keep audiences guessing — and laughing. Six detective novel writers are invited to a weekend party which is hosted by a wealthy woman, Miss Maple. During the course of the weekend's events, the detective skills of the writers are put to the test when one of the guests ends up getting murdered. Ms. Stein says, "It's a very fun comedy that will leave audiences wondering, ‘What will happen next?’"
In this production, Pamela plays the role of Rita Eyelesbarrow, the social secretary to Miss Maple. As the secretary, Rita is obedient and serious; she is by Miss Maple's side ready to tend to any details relating to the party. "Yet", as Ms. Stein says, "when one of the detectives gets on her nerves, Miss Eyelsbarrow shows us another side to her personality - that of someone who is easily enraged." Her bipolar-like personality and the fact that she is constantly clutching a hatbox -- the contents of which remain a mystery throughout most of the play -- add to the suspicion that this mysterious woman may be the killer. Is she? “You'll have to come and see The Butler Did It to find out,” Ms. Stein teased.
Ms. Stein's prior stage credits include The 2011 Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa’s One Act Festival and most recently playing Jingle the Elf in the Grant Park Players’ production of A Place Called Christmas. Other acting credits include roles in productions by the Pink Banana Theatre and the Boulevard Theatre and in the independent films Child Play and Don’t Fall in Love. Additionally, she can be seen in several television commercials.
The Butler Did It will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 13, 14, 20, and 21; there will be one matinee performance at 2:30 p.m. on April 14. All performances are at Christ King Church, 2604 N. Swan Boulevard, Wauwatosa, with the entrance on 91st St. The play is appropriate for all ages.
Tickets for all performances are $15 – adults, $13 –students and seniors. For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $12 each, if reserved in advance.
