Sports Wrapups: June 22

  1. "Sykes would like to see a little more consistency out of his veteran
    (11 seniors) squad."

Perhaps Coach would get the consistency he seeks if he ACTUALLY PLAYED his veteran senior players, instead of starting 4 underclassmen & playing Rob Mayer, named as an All-Suburban infielder last year, in the outfield. In my opinion (shared by many) Coach is mismanaging this team horribly. He appears to be allotting playing time based on who yells for his scalp the loudest & most publicly.
  2. Sounds like a parent of THE MOST OBNOXIOUS group of Nicolet parents I've ever witnessed. Hall of Famer Sykes should get combat pay for putting up with this crowd of senior parents. He always gets his teams ready to play when it counts, but as talented as this team should be, they're not as good as their mommies and daddies tell them they are at home. There is no I in team, but there is a lot of I in that senior class.

  5. First off, let me start out by saying THE MOST OBNOXIOUS username to have ever been created is "gooby". Let me also say that the parents should take a step back, whether or not your son is playing. The players will play, and the coachs will coach. Our senior leadership has carried us all year and will continue to. Our juniors are a good mix of boys who blend well with the seniors. Stop bantering on the internet, it solves nothing. Confront the issue face to face, everyone can talk through a keyboard. By the way, there is an I in "junior" as well gooby, so you're not very original.
  6. "Hall of Famer Sykes should get combat pay for putting up with this crowd of senior parents. He always gets his teams ready to play when it counts"

Except vs Grafton. He had the wrong players on the field at the wrong time, and it cost that team a trip to state. Better defense was available, but not used. MISMANAGEMENT!!
