Who is up for re-election in the North Shore?

Nov. 28, 2012

Want to have a bigger say in your local government?

A number of seats are opening up throughout the North Shore in 2013, to be filled in the April 2 spring election. If necessary, a primary might be held Feb. 19 to narrow the list of candidates in the general election.

Incumbents and challengers must submit a campaign registration statement, declaration of candidacy and nomination papers by 5 p.m. Jan. 2 to their local filing officer. Incumbents wishing not to run must submit a declaration of non-candidacy by 5 p.m. Dec. 21.

By state law, candidates may not circulate nomination forms or solicit signatures before Saturday.

Nomination papers will be available Saturday at local village or city halls for village board, common council and municipal judge positions. Campaign registration statements and declaration of candidacy forms will be available at local school districts.
