Residents reported the following damage to property July 9 or 10: The side of a car was "kicked in" causing $1,500 damage in the 9200 block of North Broadmoor Road; glass was broken in a driveway and porch in the 9300 block of North Fairway Circle; a car window was smashed causing $1,000 damage in the 9300 block of North Tennyson Drive; two side mirrors were broken off cars in the 9200 block of North Broadmoor Road and the 9300 block of North Waverly Place.
1An 80-year-old Louisiana woman was arrested for drunken driving after she was found passed out in her car standing in a traffic lane at Port Washington and Brown Deer roads at 11 p.m. July 10. The woman, who said she had four scotch on the rocks at a Mequon restaurant, was visiting friends. She was taken for a blood draw.
2A 19-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for underage drinking, two warrants and violation of park hours after a noise complaint at Doctor's Park, 1870 E. Fox Lane, at 10:15 p.m. July 12. Her blood alcohol content was 0.21.
3A GPS unit, a briefcase, camera and business records valued at more than $900 were taken from a car at Courtyard by Marriott, 5200 W. Brown Deer Road, on June 28 or 29. Damage to the car was listed at $1,000.
4A laptop computer valued at $700 was taken from a car in the 8200 block of North 46th Street on June 29 or 30. Damage was $500.
5Gang graffiti was found on the road just outside Fairy Chasm Park, 5712 W. Fairy Chasm Road, the afternoon of July 1. The amount of damage was not available.
6A vacuum pump, extension cords and tools valued at more than $1,600 were taken from a work truck at Seider Heating and Air, 8234 N. Teutonia Ave., within an hour of 6:45 a.m. July 3.
7A woman's bicycle valued at $200 was taken from outside Walgreen's, 6020 W. Brown Deer Road, between noon and 1 p.m. July 4. A man had left it unsecured when he went to apply for a job. When he returned his bike was gone and in its place was a Green BMX bicycle. Surveillance video showed a woman riding the BMX and then the man's bike.
8A 29-year-old Cudahy woman was arrested for driving under the influence, recklessly endangering the safety/neglect of a child and along with a 30-year-old Milwaukee man, a passenger in the car, for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of both cocaine and marijuana and drug paraphernalia after the woman hit a light pole and drove over five lanes of traffic ending up about 40 yards off the road in the 6400 block of West Brown Deer Road at 6:10 p.m. July 4. The couple's 2-year-old child was in the car along with syringes, tourniquets, pipes with residue, brass knuckles and about 2 grams of marijuana. The man was also arrested for possession of 0.9 grams of heroin found in his pants along with some marijuana and syringes. When he stood up and spread his legs another syringe fell out of his pants. He said the woman told him to hide the items there. The woman admitted "smoking crack" hours before.
9An 18-year-old Belgium woman, a 20-year-old Fox Point man and three 19-year-old women, two of Mequon, one of Port Washington, were arrested for underage drinking as they stood next to a car in the 9000 block of North Green Bay Road at 9:15 p.m. July 3. One of the Mequon women ran from police trying to hide in a nearby bush but was easily visible. Vodka and other alcohol were found in the car's trunk. They all admitted drinking and had preliminary blood alcohol contents ranging from 0.049 to 0.232.
Two disorderly conducts/domestic violence arrests were reported July 8 and July 10 and two batteries/domestic violence arrests were reported July 8 and 11.
10An 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of a 2006 Cadillac taken from the 7100 block of North Barnett Lane sometime before July 2. The car had been unlocked with the keys inside. Left behind was a bicycle. Milwaukee police found the car in the 3300 block of North 16th Street with the man and three passengers inside at 9 p.m. July 7. The man was arrested.
11A 17-year-old Bayside girl and an 18-year-old Fox Point man were arrested for underage drinking and the man also for obstruction in the 8200 block of North Lake Drive about 7:30 p.m. July 7. A witness reported the couple being lewd and lascivious with the girl naked and appearing impaired near Barnett Lane and Green Tree Road about an hour before. The girl was traced by her license plate and police contacted a relative. The relative called the girl's cellphone, and, when found, the couple admitted drinking but both denied the allegations of the witness.
Damage to property was reported to six residences July 9 or 10. A car was found with damage of $750 in the 8600 block of North Manor Lane; graffiti was painted on a mail box and a bridge walk causing $100 damage and the same type of graffiti was found on a garage causing $20 damage both in the 7500 block of North Bell Road; similar graffiti and other vandalism with damage ranging from $25 to $100 occurred at three homes in the 8300 block of North Whitney Road.
12Two gold necklaces with diamonds were taken from an unlocked jewelry drawer in a resident's apartment at Laurel Oaks, 1700 W. Bender Road, sometime March to July 9. There was no sign of forced entry.
13A $300 smartphone belonging to an employee was taken when he left it unattended on a table at Applebee's, 5810 N. Bayshore Drive, around midnight July 9 or 10.
14A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he reportedly hit and choked his girlfriend, 31, of Milwaukee outside the Residence Inn, 7275 N. Port Washington Road, at 11:15 a.m. July 10. The man denied hitting the woman and the woman, at first, said she wanted the man arrested for domestic violence and then said she didn't.
15A 24-year-old Mercer, Wis., man was arrested for theft of three pairs of sunglasses valued at $435 from Sunglass Hut, 490 W. Northshore Drive, at 11 a.m. July 10. The man left the store but was identified because he had purchased a pair of glasses and filled out a warranty card. He was ordered into the station where he admitted taking the glasses saying he did because he had a pair stolen a few days before. A few hours later, at 7 p.m., an 18-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for theft of one pair of $150 glasses. He ran from the mall and across a street. When stopped, he said he ran because he thought the police "were going to rob him." Then he said he ran because he was "out for a jog to cool off." And at 8:40 p.m., a man took three pairs of sunglasses valued at $550 but police were not notified. An officer reported the theft during a follow-up.
16A 19-year-old man, residence not available, was arrested for possession of marijuana, driving while suspended, suspended registration and three warrants in the 5300 block of North Port Washington Road at 9:20 p.m. July 10. The man had 1 gram of marijuana and admitted smoking the drug "to relax."
A 28-year-old Whitefish Bay man is to be issued a citation for disorderly conduct on allegations he threatened a Glendale man in an alley behind the 4800 block of North Mohawk Avenue at 9:30 p.m. July 10. The Glendale man admitted he met with the suspect last week to buy marijuana and, at that time, the suspect took all his money. On this date, he saw the suspect and confronted him about that money and it was then the suspect threatened him.
17A purse was taken from a kitchen counter after someone cut a window screen, reached in and grabbed it in the 5600 block of North River Forest Drive late night July 10 to 7 a.m. July 11. Credit cards were found on the ground outside the window and the purse was found nearby with $100 missing.
18A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for battery and theft after he attacked a woman, the mother of his son, in the 200 block of West Silver Spring Drive at 5:30 p.m. July 12. Witness reported the man grabbing at the woman who was screaming. The woman said he had reached into her blouse because he knew that's where she kept her money. The man denied both attacking the woman and taking the money saying he just wanted to talk to her because she "dumped" their 4-year-old son on him and he had "no way to care for him."
No reportable incidents this week.
19A 21-speed bicycle valued at $200 was taken from the 1200 block of East Olive Street between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. July 6.
20A 27-year-old Shorewood man was arrested for drunken driving, failure to have insurance and speeding 57 mph in a 25 mph zone in the 3500 block of North Oakland Avenue at 3 a.m. July 7. His BAC was 0.11
21An unknown number of quarters were taken from washing machines in the basement of the 4000 block of North Morris Boulevard sometime before 9:30 p.m. July 9. A basement window was forced open and a pry tool used on the machines.
22A $50 grill was taken from a backyard in the 3500 block of North Cramer Street during the day or early evening July 9.
23A bicycle valued at $250 was taken from an unsecured garage in the 3800 block of North Morris Boulevard between noon and 1 p.m. July 11. Found in the garage was another bike valued at $25.
24A resident reported the theft of milk, cereal and fruit from her refrigerator in the 1600 block of East River Park Court at 4 p.m. July 12.
25A 20-year-old man, residence not available, was arrested for theft of a cellphone taken from the building at Atwater Beach, 4000 N. Lake Drive, at 3:50 p.m. July 12. An employee had left the building to check the beach.
26A 5-foot tall pirate statue valued at $300 was taken while on display outside Winkie's, 629 E. Silver Spring Drive, on July 7 to July 9.
27A 39-year-old South Carolina man was warned for soliciting for donations without a permit for All Four One near the 5000 block of North Lake Drive at 6:30 p.m. July 11. The man had nonextraditable warrants for burglary and trespassing from his home state.
28A 48-year-old Whitefish Bay man was issued two citations for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of West Lake View Avenue at 7:45 p.m. July 12. The first citation was for yelling and screaming at a family sitting in their backyard and the second for his conduct with police.
29A 22-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, driving after suspension and driving without lights at Lake Drive and Oakland Avenue at 1:45 a.m. July 13. The woman driving by a squad car waved her hand out the window. She said she was looking for her boyfriend after an argument. She smelled of alcohol and admitted having a couple of drinks and later said it was five or six vodka and tonics. She also admitted she was "most likely" drunk. Her BAC was 0.18.
30Police issued 22 underage drinking citations after a 911 hang-up call in the 600 block of East Lake Hill Court at 11:35 p.m. July 14. Fox Point, Glendale and Shorewood police assisted. There was sign of forced entry to the residence. No other details were available.
31A 28-year-old Whitefish Bay man was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the 4800 block of North Anita Avenue at 3:30 p.m. July 15. The man had reportedly threatened to harm a Glendale man and a warrant was issued for his arrest July 10.
One domestic violence incident was reported this week.
