Firefighters responding to a fire alarm at Bayshore Town Center on Jan. 22 found 10 to 15 mops that had been burned.

According to the North Shore Fire Department report:

Firefighters responded to an automatic fire alarm coming from a second-floor maintenance room at Bayshore Town Center, 5800 N. Bayshore Drive, at 5:55 a.m. Jan. 22.

In that room, crew found 10 to 15 mops that had burned and there was a strong chemical odor. An employee said the mops had just been dropped off after being cleaned when he saw smoke coming out.
