North Shore voters head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in a variety of local races. Here's a list of polling places and what is on the ballot in each community.

Bayside

Polling place: Bayside Middle School, 601 E Ellsworth Lane.

On the ballot: Ellen J. Redeker and Joe Kasle, are running for one open seat on the Nicolet School Board. Voters in the Fox Point-Bayside School District will also vote on referendum and an uncontested race for School Board, with Michael B. Weiss and Eliz Greene on the ballot.

The referendum has two questions. The first asks whether the district should borrow no more than $3.255 million to pay for energy and facility improvements at school buildings, technology upgrades and to refund a state trust fund loan.

The second question asks for authorization to borrow no more than $3.7 million to fund "post-employment benefits" for district employees and former employees.

In the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District, Jim LeTart is unopposed for one seat on the board.

Municipal Judge Charles Barr is unopposed, as are Village Board members Michael Barth and Eido Walny.

Brown Deer

Polling places: Precinct 1 (Wards 1, 2, 3) - Trinity Community Church, 9450 N. 60th St.; Precinct 2 (Wards 4, 5, 7) - Brown Deer Library, 5600 W. Bradley Road; Precinct 3 (Wards 6, 8, 9) - St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8080 N. 47th St.

On the ballot: Four candidates, incumbent Gary Williams and Michael Bembenek, Barry Godshaw and Lisa Zielinski, are seeking two seats on the School Board.

Jeff Baker and Gary Springman are running unopposed for two seats on the Village Board; Carl Krueger is seeking re-election as village president and David Victor is running for municipal judge.

Fox Point

Polling places: Police Department, 7300 N. Santa Monica Blvd.; and Longacre Pavilion, 7343 N. Longacre Road.

On the ballot: Incumbents Eric Fonstad and Sandy Garmer and challengers Douglas Frazer and Craig Kaplan are seeking two seats on the Village Board. F. R. Dengel III is unopposed in his bid for a two-year term on the Village Board.

Voters the Fox Point-Bayside School District have an uncontested School Board race and two referendum questions on the ballot, and a contested race for Nicolet School Board (see above). In the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District, LeTart is running unopposed for one seat one seat on the board.

Glendale

Polling places: Aldermanic District 1 - North Shore Library, 6800 N. Port Washington Road; District 2 - Parkway School,

5910 N. Milwaukee River Parkway; District 3 - Nicolet High School, 6701 N. Jean Nicolet Road; District 4 - Good Hope School,

2315 W. Good Hope Road; District 5 - Glen Hills School, 2600 W. Mill Road; District 6 - City Hall, 5909 N. Milwaukee River Parkway.

On the ballot: Voters in District 2 will select either incumbent Brian Rice or challenger Daniel Sweeney. Richard Wiese and JoAnn Shaw are running without opposition for the 4th and 6th District seats. Municipal Judge Christopher Lipscomb is unopposed.

Redeker and Kasle are running for one open seat on the Nicolet School Board, while Robert K. Roska and Jean L. Pereles-Strouse running unopposed for two seats on the Glendale-River Hills School Board and LeTart is unopposed for one seat on the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School Board.

Mequon

Polling places: Wards 1, 2, 6, 20 - Crossroads Church, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Road; Wards 3, 4, 5 - Police and Fire Department, 11300 N. Buntrock Ave.; Ward 7 - Homestead High School, 5000 W. Mequon Road; Wards 8, 9, 18, 21 - Concordia University. 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive; Wards 10, 11 - Pieper Power Education Center. 8200 W. County Line Road; Wards 12, 13 - Range Line School, 11040 N. Range Line School; Wards 14, 15,16, 17, 19 - Donges Bay School, 2401 W. Donges Bay Road.

On the ballot: Three candidates, incumbents Mary Cyrier and Robert Perry and challenger Lisa Steinman are seeking two seats on the Mequon-Thiensville School Board. Voters in the Cedarburg School District will chose three board members from six candidates, Jeffrey Brey, Chris Reimer, Rick Leach, Charleen Eickhoff, James Christian Burkee and Pete Pavalko.

Curt Gielow is unopposed in the race for mayor; Dan Abendroth and John Wirth are running without opposition for council seats in the 1st and 4th districts.

River Hills

Polling place: Village Hall, 7650 N. Pheasant Lane

On the ballot:

Incumbents Steve Anderson, R. David Fritz Jr., and challengers Victor Harding and Katharine H. Stanford are seeking two seats on the Village Board. There also are races in the Nicolet, Maple Dale-Indian Hills and Glendale-River Hills school boards (see above).

Shorewood

Polling places: Wards 1 to 4 - Village Center, 3930 N. Murray Ave.; Ward 5 to 8 - Shorewood High School, 1701 E. Capitol Drive; Wards 9 to 12 - Shorewood Intermediate School, 3830 N. Morris Blvd.

On the ballot: Incumbent Ellen Eckman and challengers Donald Ford, Patrick Linnane and Timothy Wick are seeking election to two open seats on the Village Board. Incumbent John Carlton and challengers Colin Plese and Rob Reinhoffer are seeking two open seats on the School Board.

Thiensville

Polling place: Village Hall, 250 Elm St.

On the ballot: Incumbents Mary Cyrier and Robert Perry and challenger Lisa Steinman are seeking two seats on the Mequon-Thiensville School Board. John Treffert and Van Mobley are running unopposed for two seats on the Village Board.

Whitefish Bay

Polling places: Wards 1, 2, 3 and 4 - Whitefish Bay Library, 5420 N. Marlborough Drive; Wards 5 and 6 - Village Hall, 5300 N. Marlborough Drive; Wards 7, 8 and 9 - Lydell Community Center, 5205 N. Lydell Ave.; Wards 10, 11 and 12 - Cahill Square Park Building, 1001 E. Fairmount Ave.

On the ballot: Incumbents James D. Roemer and Jay W. Miller are running unopposed for Village Board. Incumbent Cheryl L. Maranto and Michael Mosner are seeking two seats on the School Board.
