Franklin's experience needed in economic crisis
Public Forum:
This spring's local elections Tuesday, April 7, are an important opportunity to voice how our communities operate.
None is more important than school board elections. The tax base is directly linked to the quality of schools and the cost of operating them. The education we give our children decides the future for each of us.
I want to urge everyone to vote, and in the Nicolet School District, to vote for Marilyn Franklin. She has served the school and its population in many offices, most recently as president. Her leadership has allowed good choices to be made regarding expenditures and in maintaining the quality education Nicolet High School is known for all over the U.S.
Franklin balances community expenditure and educational needs in all her decisions. As the economy presents new challenges to education funding, we need the experience and knowledge of Franklin for the sake of taxpayers and for the students.
