School Board member backs Franklin, Peltz
Public Forum:
As a member of the Glendale-River Hills School Board I have had the pleasure of knowing and working closely with Marilyn Franklin and Jennifer Peltz for several years.
Franklin, as a member of the Nicolet School Board, and I were part of an interdistrict group that revitalized and reorganized the collaboration between Nicolet High School and the three kindergarten through eighth-grade feeder districts - Glendale-River Hills, Fox Point-Bayside and Maple Dale-Indian Hill. Communication and sharing among our districts improves education and saves money. I have come to appreciate Franklin as someone who welcomes new ideas while keeping a clear focus on the fundamentals that keep Nicolet a great school. We need that kind of steady, experienced and innovative leadership for Nicolet.
Peltz and I have worked along side one another on the Glendale-River Hills board for almost three years. Before that she was an involved parent and Parent-Teacher Organization leader. Peltz's commitment to our district and children runs deep. One of Peltz's interests is preparation of eighth-graders for high school, which has allowed her to learn more about Nicolet and the challenges ahead. She is open-minded and not afraid to ask questions. She seeks out community input, works hard to ensure a clear understanding and is willing to tackle the tough choices. Peltz puts children first when considering any decision while striving for continued educational excellence and fiscal responsibility. While I will miss her openness, insight and dedication on our board, Peltz brings the traits needed today for Nicolet.
I hope you join me in supporting Franklin and Peltz in the primary and April elections for the Nicolet board.
