Remodeler opens showroom to showcase services
Shorewood - Remodeling company RJ Builders opened their new showroom located at 4312 N. Oakland Avenue on July 16.
"We decided to create the showroom to better serve our clients and handle the growth we've experienced over the past several years," said Ann Gaeta, partner and lead design consultant at RJ Builders. "The showroom is a reflection of our passion for quality and value as well as our commitment to customer service."
The showroom hours are at Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment.
Shorewood resident lead researcher on viral replication
Shorewood - Resident Paula Traktman, Ph.D., the Walter Schroeder Professor and Chairman of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the Medical College of Wisconsin, is the principle investigator for a two-year $420,750 grant. The grant is from the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to study the maturation of the DNA chromosome of the poxvirus.
The research could provide a better understanding of the viral replication process, which will increase understanding of how these viruses spread to better prevent human infection.
Cornerstone bank named lender of the year
Fox Point - Cornerstone Community Bank was named Wisconsin Small Business Administration Lender of the Year for banks between $101 million and $350 million in asset size. This is their sixth consecutive year receiving this type of award. Cornerstone Community Bank is an independent, family-owned and -operated bank with assets of $124 million.
Cornerstone operates three full service offices in Grafton, Menomonee Falls and Fox Point.
Company introduces animated whiteboard production service
Thiensville - Dean Group Media has announced the launch of Story Vision Video, an animated whiteboard Internet video production service. Its videos are designed to simplify the way businesses explain themselves and their business.
Dennis Dean, owner and creator, says Story Vision Video is efficient from both a cost and communication standpoint.
On the Move
Concordia University recently announced that Joshua Czuta has been named director of human resources. He previously was an adjunct professor in Concordia's School of Business and Legal Studies.
Czuta is a graduate of Marquette University Law School.
Shorewest Realtors welcomes back sales associate Jamie Kieckhefer to their Mequon Office located at 1407 W. Mequon Road. Kieckhefer offers 25 years of real estate experience and specializes in the greater Ozaukee County market.
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin and Children's Specialty Group, a joint venture between Children's Hospital and Health System and The Medical College of Wisconsin appointed Whitefish Bay resident Dr.Beth Drolet clinical vice president of Ambulatory Services and Shorewood resident Dr. Keith Oldham clinical vice president of Surgical Services and Anesthesia.
Drolet is also medical director of Dermatology and Birthmarks and Vascular Anomalies at Children's Hospital. Oldham is surgeon-in-chief and medical director of surgery at Children's Hospital.
Whitefish Bay resident Amanda Zacharias joined Alfred Benesch & Company's engineering team in June. Benesch is a civil and structural engineering firm with regional offices in Milwaukee, Oshkosh and Kenosha. Zacharias will serve as Design Group Manager for all three locations, working out of the Milwaukee office.
