Ten contested local elections and three referendum questions are on various local ballots in the April 5 election.
Contested school board elections are on ballots in Brown Deer, Glendale-River Hills, Mequon-Thiensville, Nicolet and Whitefish Bay school districts.
Contested village board elections are on ballots in Fox Point, River Hills, Thiensville and Shorewood.
Four write-in candidates are counting on Whitefish Bay voters to vote for them for Village Board. Their names will not appear on the ballot because no one filed before the filing deadline.
Referendums on school spending for Shorewood, Glendale-River Hills and Nicolet school districts are on the Shorewood, Glendale, Fox Point, Bayside and River Hills ballots.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
