Melissa Sue Scalici of Valley Village, Calif., and Michael James Weir, formerly of Whitefish Bay, were married May 29, 2010, at Squaw Valley Chapel in Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Parents of the bride are Tony and Susan Scalici of Del Ray Beach, Fla. Parents of the groom are Ronald and Barbara Weir of Fish Creek and Fountain Hills, Ariz.

Mari Baxter, aunt of the bride, officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Plump Jack Restaurant and Resort.

The bride wore an ivory, layered gown. She carried a purple, yellow and fuchsia bouquet.

Matron of honor was Angela Scalici Young of Florida, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Mari Carney, Heidi Sinclair, Lisa Sterbenz, Nicole Weir, Jessica Scalici, and Nina Brenoel.

Best man was Michael Guinane of Columbus, Ohio, friend of the groom.

Groomsmen were Aaron Szopinski, Ryan O'Hara, Matt Sterbenz, Jon Somich and Jason Hart.

Flower girl was Zoe Brenoel, daughter of a bridesmaid.

The bride earned her bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of California, Northridge. She is a certified public accountant with KMPG in Los Angeles.

The groom earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and his law degree from Southwestern Law School. He is an attorney in Los Angeles.

The couple will honeymoon in Maui for seven days. They reside in Los Angeles.

The bride and groom met while working at Squaw Valley. They returned for their wedding in the Squaw Valley Chapel, which was built in 1960 for the 1960 Winter Olympic Games.
