Barbara L. Kendall
Barbara L. Kendall (nee Carter) of Whitefish Bay died Aug. 11, 2009, at age 76.
She was a Whitefish Bay High School English teacher until her retirement and taught calligraphy for many years. Along with her love of needlework, she was instrumental in the creation of Cream City Calligraphers and the Embroiderers' Guild of America Badger Chapter.
Barbara filled her active days with reading, knitting, bridge, gardening, antiques, book club, volunteering as a member of the United Methodist Church and the Whitefish Bay Women's Club as well as many other community organizations.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Kendall; cousins, Donald (Carol) Malone of Redmond, Wash., and Ronald Malone of Houston; friends, William and Susan McConnell, Allison and Gregg Lipscomb and their daughter Hannah; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph F. Kendall; and son, Robert Reid Kendall.
Service was Aug. 15 at United Methodist Church of Whitefish Bay. Interment was at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
Memorials are suggested to the Whitefish Bay Public Library, 5420 N. Marlborough Drive, Whitefish Bay, WI 53217.
Feerick Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
