Regina R. Olejniczak
Regina R. Olejniczak (nee Droski, nee Drzazgowski) of Milwaukee Catholic Home, formerly of Shorewood, died Aug. 6, 2009, at age 97.
She was a former employee of Knapp & Vogt Manufacturing Co., where she was awarded a certificate of appreciation in a campaign to raise money for the blind.
On Oct. 15, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Mich., Regina married the "love of her life," John Olejniczak. Regina and John were inseparable; they loved to go out on the town riding the bus from one end of Milwaukee to the other, walking hand in hand to Mass on Sunday or to one of their favorite restaurants. Regina was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. Robert Parish.
She was a "true lady" in every aspect of her life. Regina was a kind, gentle, humble lady, always greeted one with a smile.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Isabella and Martha Drzazgowski; nephews, Stanley (Lorraine) Olejniczak, Jim (Deanna) Olejniczak and the Rev. Norman Droski; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John J. Olejniczak; and siblings, Joseph (Eleanor), Frank (Antoinette), Louis (Lucille), Felix, Michael and Bernard Drzazgowski.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 11 at St. Robert Catholic Church, Shorewood. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Feerick Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
