Timothy K. Burke
Timothy K. Burke of Glendale died July 2, 2009.
Tim accepted his cerebral palsy with courage, dignity and faith and the most amazing sense of humor. He was an avid sports fan and embraced all of life's adventures and the experiences provided by Easter Seals, United Cerebral Palsy and Going Beyond Travel (thanks Pam and Monty).
While Timmy will be greatly missed by all, we are confident that he is in a better place, kicking up his heels, "hopscotching, jumping rope, chattering" and learning the Irish Jig.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Sheila Vollman, John, Kevin and Gerry Burke and Meg Noyes; brother-in-law, Hack Noyes; sisters-in-law, Murph, Mary Grace, Jocelyn and Mary Burke; 18 nieces and nephews, 16 grand-nieces and -nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marnie and John; brother, Reilly; brother-in-law, Ron; and nephew, Eric.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 7 at Old St. Mary's Catholic Church, Milwaukee. Private interment was held.
Memorials are suggested to Eisenhower Center, 4425 W. Woolworth Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53218.
The family thanks the staff at Eisenhower Center and caregivers Annetta and Andre Peace and Tina Eagles for their care and compassion.
Feerick Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
