Genevieve M. Nicholson
Genevieve M. "Gen" Nicholson (nee Hopp) of Fox Point died June 22, 2009, at age 91.
Gen was a woman with a sincere heart, exhibiting qualities of a genuine lady with quiet elegance. She always did her best to follow the virtues of faith, hope and love and remained grateful to God for his presence in her life, openly accepting both life's gifts and challenges. She enjoyed knitting, music and the arts, which all brought her immense joy.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (Herman) Schmidt, Joan (William) Schoeneberger, Pat (Nicholson), Peg (Roland) Krueger, Mary Beth (Jim) Havel and Tim Nicholson; grandchildren, Mary Beth, Jennifer, John, Ann Margaret, William, Brian, Karla, Donna, Matt, Jimmy, Mark and Ian; great-grandchildren, Alphonse, Paul, Mark, John, Elizabeth, Ethan, Michael and Matthew; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Jerome J. "Jerry" Nicholson; and daughter, Susan Kirkham.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 26 at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Whitefish Bay. Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family thanks the staff of St. John's on the Lake and Advantage Home and Hospice for the wonderful tender care.
