Margaret Schumaker
Margaret "Meg" Schumaker (nee Graner) of Milwaukee Catholic Home, formerly of Bayside and Shorewood, died May 31, 2009, at age 90.
She was proud to have served her country during World War II as a lieutenant in the Army. She will be remembered as a generous woman.
She is survived by her children, Robert G. Schumaker, Mary (Robert) Feind, Michael J. (Jane) Schumaker, Richard E. (Colleen) Shumaker, James E. (Anne) Schumaker and Margaret E. "Peggy" (John) Burns; sisters, Charlotte Falk and Mary Ann Ricker; 29 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene J. Schumaker; and siblings, Francis Graner and Robert Graner.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 4 at St. Monica Catholic Church, Whitefish Bay. Interment with full military honors was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
