Gardiner-Cohn
Sarah Gardiner and Jacob Cohn were married Sept. 21, 2008, in a tent overlooking the lake at the bride's grandparents' home in Fox Point.
Parents of the bride are Steven and Ann Gardiner, Whitefish Bay. Parents of the groom are Walter and Deborah Cohn, Bethesda, Md.
Rabbi Analia Bortz officiated the 4:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Shully's Cuisine and Events, Thiensville.
The bride wore a strapless ivory gown embroidered with crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of yellow and red orchids with red and orange calla lilies.
Maid of honor was Samantha White, Silver Spring, Md., friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Lancelle, Whitefish Bay; Kira Shoemaker, Atlanta; and Alexis Smith, New York City.
Best Man was Ezra Cohn, Bethesda, Md., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Thomas Brown, Atlanta; Daniel Gardiner, Whitefish Bay; and Joshua Stanton, Bethesda.
Flower girl was Julia Hernesman, Sun Prairie, cousin of the bride.
The bride, a 2002 graduate of Whitefish Bay High School, earned degrees in biological anthropology and English from Emory University, Atlanta, in 2006 and is a proposal development officer at Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, Atlanta.
The groom, a 2004 graduate of Walt Whitman High School, Bethesda, earned degrees in economics and mathematics from Emory University in 2008 and is a grant specialist at Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, Atlanta.
The couple honeymooned in the Saranac Lake area of upstate New York for one week. They live in Atlanta.
