Friday-Salas

Sept. 21, 2011

Jessica Friday and Jesse Salas of Costa Mesa, Calif., were married July 9, 2011, in the courtyard of Jalapeno Loco Dos restaurant in Mequon.

Parents of the bride are Bob and Rhonda Friday of Glendale. The groom's parents are Fermin and the late Dolores Salas of Costa Mesa.

The Rev. Jose Fernandez officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the restaurant.

The festive wedding atmosphere was set by the bright and colorful hand-tied floral bouquets of kelly-orange spray roses, firestarter gerbera daisies, gloriosa lilies, purple iris, green celosia and green hypericum berries.

Heather Boehlke of Greendale, best friend of the bride since kindergarten, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Gina Schultz of Dyer, Ind.; Rose Kobbs of Greenfield; Sarah Aldridge of Mount Pleasant, Mich.; Jackie Dulian of Muncie, Ind.; and Carla Giuliani of Burnsville, Minn.

Irwin Salas of Costa Mesa, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Adrian Alvarez of Los Angeles; Jon Bermudez of Costa Mesa; Jonathan Friday of Shorewood; and Nathaniel Friday of Glendale.

Zoe Bermudez of Costa Mesa, niece of the groom, was flower girl, and Jacob Bermudez of Costa Mesa, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

The bride earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from Ball State University in Indiana in 2007. She is director of tour design for American Classic Tours Inc. based in Grayslake, Ill.

The groom attended Courtland Community College in Ithaca, N.Y. He is a motorcoach driver with Transportation Charter Services in Orange, Calif.

The couple met when the bride led a tour group on a trip to California. The groom was their driver for the week. After one tiring day, he brought her authentic Mexican tacos - it was love at first bite.
