Katie Goossen and Elliot Wolters of Portland, Ore., are planning a September 2011 wedding in Milwaukee.
Parents of the couple are Mick and Claire Goossen of Brookfield and Peter and Virginia Wolters of Whitefish Bay.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2006 and her medical doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2010. She is a pathologist with Oregon Health and Science University Hospital.
The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Marquette University High School, and he earned his bachelor's degree in aeronautics from St. Louis University in 2007.
