The Town of Milwaukee incorporated as the City of Glendale in 1950 and city officials and hundreds of guests gathered at the Bavarian Inn on Aug. 4 to celebrate the event.
District officials and contract crews are working feverishly to dry out and assess the damage to Nicolet High School where it is estimated that 80 percent of the school sustained flood damage from the July 22 storm.
The Nicolet High School Class of 2010 took its final bows during commencement June13.
With a June 1 deadline looming, the Nicolet School Board voted 4-0 to send final layoff notices to staff for the equivalent of 3.6 full time positions during a special board meeting May 28.
Eight volunteers launched their canoes to clean the Milwaukee River shoreline from Brown Deer Road to Kletzsch Park during the 15th annual Spring River CleanUp on April 17.
Light rain did not deter families from gathering in Kletzsch Park for the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the North Milwaukee Lions Club on Saturday, April 3.
