Instead of working on the payroll tax cut bill, or a jobs bill, or a deficit reduction plan, President Obama decided to spend his time in a one-on-one interview with 60 min. In that interview, Steve Kroft actually asked some interesting questions. President Obama seemed like he was conceding that it was going to take more than one term and more than one president to solve our economic problems. I couldn't agree more. President Obama is certainly not solving them in this term.

President Obama is also accusing members of Congress of skewing their vision because they are not looking past the next election. President Obama is a clear example of also not looking past the next election. I he were, he would pass along his decision on the Keystone pipeline. This could create tens of thousands of jobs throughout the country and not need a government subsidy. But the president would rather not create the jobs and believe that he is saving the environment from pollution and not create the jobs. This will create a greater dependency on government because the people who could be working may be collecting food stamps and receiving government handouts in lieu of a paycheck. This is Obama's vision for America.

On the heels of the fresh victory for taking credit for giving all working Americans a $40 a week tax break for two months, president Obama jetted off to Hawaii. During the holiday season, several presidents have taken a surprise trip overseas to visit the soldiers defending our freedom and show some appreciation for the sacrifices that they have made in their lives for us. But not president Obama. His trip only went partly across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii. I guess he couldn't turn a trip to visit our soldiers into a campaign event, so the idea never came up again.

2012 will be a year of hard work for the president. Out on the campaign trail, that is. His campaign will have shovel ready jobs. They will be digging up the dirt on what for the opponent is. Having no record to run on, the campaign will have to rely on negativity and character assassinations. Four years ago, Obama was to be considered the uniter. He was supposed to bring together a polarized country weary of being divided on just about any issue. Well, I don't have to tell you, things have gotten worse.
