Desperation Autumn

Contrary to what they've been saying, Democrats are watching the recent polls. Although it's not looking too good for them, Republicans have to be cautious and off not think that they've got victories all sewn up. Yes, the question remains; if they are handed back control of Congress, will they be effective stewards? Will they be able to steer America in the right direction again?

Well, we know that the Democrats want to continue on this course of economic destruction, government overreach, higher taxes, redistribution of wealth, and the end of American superiority. President Barack Obama's speech in Milwaukee on Labor Day can be summarized in one word: pathetic. But, why should we expect more from this failure of a president? He continues his old rhetoric of taking shots at Republicans for not being bipartisan while he himself considers bipartisanship by simply agreeing to Democrat proposals. No margin of compromise. He believes the American people have amnesia and don't remember the previous administration. Yet he wants them to have amnesia by not being able to recognize the failures of the economic policies that his administration has implemented.

Why does America need a new stimulus package? Could it be... the last one failed?

As sure as the sun comes up in the East, the Democrats have a new way of getting the American economy back to growth-more spending. For over two years now, we have been hearing that America needs shall already projects. America will get back to work with shovel ready jobs. America's infrastructure will be the best in the world again with shovel ready project. This work will be done with shovel ready jobs. I don't know how many shovels are ready, but it's been getting pretty deep.

In his quest to gain ground in the governor's race here in Wisconsin, Tom Barrett has begun to run an advertisement savoring his hero status he acheived at the state fair last year. What would've happened had Tom Barrett not intervened, is of course, speculation. The crime itself and the perpetrator will not be discussed. What we will discuss is Tom Barrett's basis of thinking which is also speculation.

But not having a conversation with Tom Barrett on this, does not preclude potential voters from taking a step back and analyzing what actually was being fought by Tom Barrett. After all, his campaign is hailing him as a hero. Voters are expected to make a decision on whether Tom Barrett is a hero or just a guy who wants to save eight dollars of his own money.

Recession is Over-If You Want It

Business, climate change, County Government, Election, Energy, Government, Health Care, News, Politics, Presidential Politics, Reform, Religion, Smoking, taxes

It was recently reported that the recession that has plagued America since the end of 2007 has been over since the middle of 2009. So, why does it feel like it is not over? One would think that after a year we should at least have the mindset that we are all of the recession and well on our way to a robust recovery.

But we are not.

Is Anyone Undecided?

Are there any undecided voters out there? Having just gone through the primary election, we've probably gotten enough information on the candidates for governor and Senate. All we have to do is to remember to show up on November 2. Yet, we continue to be bombarded with advertisements. The Robo calls will probably begin very soon. Too soon. That's a frequency increases of the number of ads we are going to be exposed to for the next month or so, it will probably include enough negativity to show that the candidate we want and the candidate we oppose will have so many negative points, it could convince even the most loyal voter to stay home.

The main deciding factor in just about all elections held at the state level and the federal level are contingent upon the success or lack there of with the economy. It's taxes and the deficits that grab our attention. Do we want our taxes to go up? Or do we want our taxes to go way up?
